We are currently living in Lone Tree, Co which is a cute little town outside of Denver. We are enjoying it here for yet one more summer of selling. We have been here for 3 months already and it has gone by rather quickly. Before we know it, we will be moving home and Brookelyn will be starting Kindergarten. We have been staying busy with swimming, reading programs, park visits, and all the sights and adventures that Denver has to offer!! Here is what we have been up to individually:
Nate - is working hard selling and managing an office here in Colorado. He is a hard worker and I am so grateful for the hard worker that he is because I am able to stay home with our children. He was sad that we weren't able to go home for the Fourth of July, but we had a wonderful celebration here. Nate has been working out almost everyday at the gym and it shows... he is my Huge, Muscly Hunk!! He also stopped drinking mountain dew (which is a big deal) and I am so proud of him. We recently went home in June for his sisters wedding and it was so nice to go to the Manti Temple hand in hand with him!! I love this guy he is my other half and I am so grateful for him.
Mom - I have been busy taking care of three little one's, and I have loved every minute of it!! I have been working out with Nate also and it has been quite fun hanging out with my man and having him coach me at times. I am starting a diet for the first time in my life and I am a little nervous about it.... I am not a big dieter. I am not only doing it to hopefully lose weight, but for a life style change. I need to learn how to eat healthier and in return help and teach my family to eat healthier. Wish me luck... I am going to need it!!
Brookelyn- She is such a good girl and a wonderful example to me!! Just the other day she told me that the DVD player wasn't working and she and Trey wanted to watch a movie so she said that she said a prayer to Heavenly Father and informed me that he had answered her prayers because they were able to get it to work. She has done this also on another separate occasion when she had lost one of her favorite pieces of jewelry and she was able to find it. I love her faith and her strength. She is such an example!!
Brookelyn is such a tremendous help to me when it comes to cooking, cleaning, and helping me with her little brothers. Her current chore around the house is taking out the trash in which she is very good at doing... I don't even have to ask her to do it. Brooke is saving up her allowance for a Tinkerbell jewelry box, some pretty necklaces and an American Doll. Once she saves up all her money then Nate and I are going to take the opportunity to teach her about "Paying her Tithing".
Brookelyn loves pizza, wheat thins and pears. She is such a good eater and always has been.
She has such a kind little heart and is so sweet!! She is into watching Hannah Montana, ICarly and Wizards of Waverly Place. She occasionally likes to watch Barney and Tom and Jerry with Trey.
Brookelyn is going to be starting Kindergarten this Fall... her Dad and I are experiencing "Bitter Sweet" emotions about this. We are so happy that she is growing up so big and becoming a little lady, but we don't want to let her go at the same time. We are going to be a wreck come first day of school!! I love this little girl she is our little Princess!!
Trey - He is my little ball of fire and energy!! He is my little "Curious George" who is into everything and climbing onto everything. He is very independent and tries doing everything himself EX: spilling a gallon of milk on the kitchen floor, using the whole container of vaseline on his legs arms and our bedroom door and carpet (what a mess). He spilled a plate full of spaghetti on our White carpet trying to be a big helper by clearing his plate. He helps himself every morning to the candy cupboard and always has a mouth full of candy before breakfast!!
He also tries to dress himself in the morning and doesn't want any help... hence the shorts, cowboy boots and an unmatched shirt to go with.
Trey was kicked out of Nursery for the first time two Sundays ago for pinching. He is a pincher, biter (recently), hitter, kicker and enjoys pulling his sisters long hair. We are working on these bad habits with him. I am sad to announce that we have used soap within the last two weeks for biting. We are trying to be consistent and stern and hopefully he will grow out of this phase of being a bully.
Trey loves the movie "Princess and the frog". Whenever he watches the movie he gets excited and says "psssssssst, pssssst" for Princess, it is really funny and cute!! He has a kind little heart and is always thinking of me and his big sister. Whenever he wants his blankie he goes and gets it and grabs a blanket for me and his sister's blanket as well. When he has his daily vitamin he always asks to give his sister one and takes it to her. He calls his vitamin "Vity" and gets excited and jumps up and down as he waits for it.
Trey is starting to speak very well. He is using sentences now like: Is the pool closed?, Daddies at work, I don't want to take a nap, My tummy hurts. His very first sentence was on 04/16/10: Daddy not home, Daddies at work.
Trey is my little shadow and loves to be with me all of the time. He even sneaks into our room at night and lies next to me and puts his arm around me... he is so stinkin cute!!
He loves his little brother and sometimes can smother him too much with hugs and kisses.... and an occasional a sneaky pinch or bite on the finger... we have to watch him like a hawk around Kru.
Trey loves anything and everything boy!! He loves his balls, bats and tonka trucks. He has quite an arm and he surprises us at how far and hard he can actually throw. His favorite toys above all the rest is his tractors. He calls them him his "Papas tractors". His favorite song is "Jason Aldeans, Big Green Tractor" and could listen to it all day long.
He can count to 10 and sounds so cute doing it. He knows the color Blue... but I think it has something to do with the fact that he has an uncle named Blue!!
Trey is my little tractor loving, funky dancing, silly walking, hair pulling, selfless, big hearted, Grandpa loving little man!!
Kru - He is 3 months old and is growing up so fast!! He has blue eyes and hardly any hair. He has a big, beautiful smile and smiles all of the time. He sleeps really well during the day and occasionally will sleep through the night. He loves to play on his mat and take baths. He is not fond of tummy time. He loves to be held and played with. He is such a good baby and will cry only when tired, hungry or needs to be changed. He giggles a lot and I find it absolutely adorable. He is in size 2 diapers. He and his brother are going to be the best of friends...... they lay by each other and hang out together and even share Kru's mat together. Kru loves to suck on things especially his thumb. He would rather suck on his thumb then a binkie. He is grasping onto things really well and enjoys pulling his sister's hair, holding his rattler and his keys. He is starting to roll over. He rolls onto his side and can roll back. He can also roll onto his belly but still hasn't figured out how to roll back from there. I love to sit and stare at him and just reminisce of the day he was born and how fast it has gone by.... it is kind of sad to think about. I love this little guy so much he is such an amazing baby and brings our family so much Joy!!
