Every year as a family we try to set aside

a day before Halloween where we do some pumpkin carving.

This year was a lot of fun because the kids

are older so they were able

to really enjoy this tradition!!

It was fun to see Brooke and Trey get excited

and roll up their sleeves and dig in!!

Trey loved the oooey gooey

feel of the inside of the pumpkin

and had a good time flipping the slimy insides

all over himself and everyone else!!

Brooke was more grossed out than anything

she is all girl through and through!!

Needless to say,

Nate had to do most of her gutting!!

Kru loved just sitting

and watching all the commotion

while he pounded on his pumpkin!!

We had a good time

and our Pumpkins

turned out pretty darn cute!!

After we carved our pumpkins

we all went outside and lit them up

and watched them glow!!

We love Halloween!!

WaRd PaRtieS

This year we went to two different ward parties

and had a lot of fun and laughs!!

Our ward had their party on the 25th

so we were able to start celebrating a little early.

The kids got to dress up

get their faces painted

taste some yummy cupcakes after

winning the cupcake walk,

have balloon objects made for them,

win prizes after doing the ping pong bounce

and ENJOY all of the amazing costumes!!

6th Ward Party

{2nd party}

My mom was in charge of her ward party

so we headed down to Mesquite to help out.

We were informed that the party needed a

Fortune Teller

so after a wardrobe change,

some makeup

and some of Grandma's jewelry....

TA DA....

I would like to introduce to you

"The Fortune Teller"

GLORIA

Isn't she Beautiful?!?!

Nate was a good sport and played

the fortune teller role quite well!

His fortune readings were out of this world...

as you can imagine!!

The kids had yet another great night

of carnival fun.

Brookelyn actually won a fish

at one of the booths!!

Trey had fun throwing the football into the tire

and fishing for some goodies in the fish pond!!

Kru was a good boy as always

and just enjoyed hanging out with mom!!
