HapPy 4th Of JuLy

This year our 4th was spent for the first time in Lone Tree, Colorado.
Lone Tree is the nice little town we were living in for the Summer.
We were sad to not make it home this year, but we
still made the best of it and enjoyed celebrating our Independence
and Freedom with our friends.
On the 3rd, we were able to go to one of the small towns
close by and have a pre -celebration.
We had a lot of fun listening to the bands,
the kids enjoyed rocking out, jumping in the bounce house,
eating hot dogs and snow cones and watching the fireworks.
What a way to start our celebration!!

On the 4th of July, we went to church and then
the town of Lone Tree had there own little celebration.
Too bad it was quite cold and rained on and off all day.
We went to the celebration they had at the park and
the kids had a lot of fun till the rains came a pouring!!

{Sadie, Savannah, Brookelyn and Trey}

{Trey in the bounce house}

They had a petting zoo at the park.
Everyone was allowed to go inside the gate and walk around
with the animals.
The petting zoo consisted of
( a llama, turtle, miniature horse, sheep and some billy goats.)
Trey was so scared of the turtle (as you can see him hiding between his dad's legs and screaming.) He was so funny as he didn't even want his feet
to touch the ground the turtle was walking on!!

They had so many fun things for the kids to do:
face painting
lots of bounce houses
petting zoo
climbing wall
Our fun was cut short though because it started pouring rain.
So we went
back to our complex and went over to
the Brotherson's apartment
where we had our very own little
firework show. We lit sparklers in the
foyer of the complex and let some fireworks
off by throwing them into
the road and watching them go off from inside.
All of the kids loved the poppers!!
They enjoyed throwing the poppers on
the ground and at each other.

We had an exciting and eventful Fourth of July!!

I just wanted to applaud our servicemen and women
who are serving and fighting
for our country and giving
their lives for our Freedoms!!
I am thankful for you and for all you
do for our country.

Happy Fourth of July
